I saw this unreleased KIA being shot for a TV ad in Sydney today. I saw it coming down the road towards me and fumbled around to get the iPhone out of my pocket. Only managed to grab these two pics. You can see part of the camera truck in one of the shots. Sydney is often used for TV ad shoots. It's summer down here so it's an opportunity to film ads for later broadcast in the northern hemisphere. I've seen quite a few unreleased cars being shot over the years. Generally the film crew don't appreciate being photographed. I couldn't identify the car at first, until it went past me and I saw KIA on the boot lid and 'Cadenza' where the number plate should be. I hung around for a while in case it came past again, but this may have been its last pass of the day as it was late afternoon. The car looked to be about the size of a Holden Commodore/Pontiac G8. It's a very good looking car, KIA has really lifted its game of late. Online research indicates that it will run a 2.4 litre four and a 3.8 litre V6. I couldn't tell if this one is RHD or LHD so it may not even be sold here. Not altogether an exciting car, but a scoop for madwhips. You saw it here first!
