Yo Vinay! It's a 997. As an irrelevant aside, Vincent Wong is a character from a Monty Python sketch. Probably not the same guy, though.

Hi Oliver. It's actually a 996 that's got the 997 pieces on it. The interior still has the 996 dashboard etc.

Hmmm, a strange thing to do. That requires modifications to the rear guards (fenders) because the tail lights are different 996 to 997. Anyhoo . . . . .

I can't see them going through all this trouble to build a SEMA show car and using a 996..

I heard it was a lot of trouble getting all the pieces to fit. Apparently even the door mirrors were difficult to update, so for quite awhile this car had the old 996 mirrors.

All that trouble, and they still finish up with just another tarted up Turbo.

Quite a nicely modded Turbo I must say. That GT Street package looks fantastic, as does the GT3 RS colour choice. And for about $70K altogether, he's got a 650 HP 911 Turbo that looks like a new $200K Tuner car.
