Porsche is well-known for their turbocharged cars, both road and race, lesser-known for their use of turbos in aviation engines. Supercharging is not so much associated with Porsche. This early model 911 runs a 3 litre engine with a supercharger. It was built by a member of the Porsche Club of New South Wales, Australia. Many of the components were fabricated by the owner/builder for this car, simply because it had never been done before. It is regularly raced at Club events and is as quick as the GT3s. The '911K' badging refers to "Kompressor", the German word for supercharger. A real credit to to the owner/builder. (That's him in the driver's seat.)
