Is that an Alpine GTA sitting next to it? I feel pretty privileged to drive past two of these Clios on my way to work every day, a yellow one and the black one from my V6 gallery. Just to put into perspective how rare they are, Ferrari built four times as many F40s. Proportionally, most V6s were sold here in the UK, where we obviously have a massive penchant for crashing backwards through hedges, on fire... 65:35 weight distribution FTW!

It's probably actually safer to just keep the throttle pinned and hope the thing grips than back off and have it rotate on you! So, yeah, exactly like an early 911. The first ones (MK1) had a reputation akin to the first-gen 996 GT2, only slightly easier to crash. Luckily they sorted the suspension out for these MK2s. Vinay, it should really be called the RenaultSport Clio V6 255, and it has a mid-mounted 3.0l V6, 252 bhp (255 PS) and weighs around 1450kg I believe. Plenty of weight and power to get yourself in a mess, in other words. I think they built 354 of these MK2s, and even less of the MK1s. Oh, and the editor of EVO magazine has just bought himself a bright yellow one, just like the one I see on my way to work.

Forgot to say... Mr. Sudden sent me a scan from an Aussie car rag, and there was one of these for sale for AUS $83,000! That's UK £47,000 or nearly US $68,000! Crazy prices, but then it is a proper little exotic.
