Yeah mgray, looked really nice but I didn't give it an album as it was a replica. Top replica though.

Very good album. Some really nice Porsches. Love the Martini Porsche Turbo and the white 930 Turbo cab. I have a soft spot for those 944 Turbos as well; that was the very first Porsche I ever drove - what a thrill that was. It was the fastest car I had ever driven at that point. Nice 997 GT3 with rims. That's a real 997 GT3??

Yes that is a genuine 997 GT3RS, please have a look at the album I posted just for this car, what a beast!

Purely for the sake of accuracy, and because of my innate pedantry, that white cabriolet isn't a turbo. It's a naturally aspirated 3.2 Carrera with the turbo-look option.

Yep thanks Oliver, That's definitely my mistake, esp.. given the prominent CARRERA badge on the back of the white turbo-look cabriolet!

mgray, don't be misled by the lack of bumper rubbers. The RSLs (lightweight) had the bumper trim of this car. They also had a stripped out interior. The RSTs (touring) had the full 911 trim, inside & out. Bumper rubbers, metal rear overriders, full 911S trim inside. There were also a small number of RSHs (homolgation) models which somehow escaped the factory. These are even more spartan.

The net is the ideal source for misinformation. There are so many inaccuracies on so many sites that I wouldn't put any faith in any of them. Any plonker can set up a site and put up any ol' crap. And it seems that they do. The best resources are the many authoritative Porsche books out there. Anything by Karl Ludvigsen, Randy Leffingwell, Buschen & Barth, Richard von Frankenberg are accurate & reliable. There's also the history section of the Porsche.com site. It's useful for identifying different models, but there's not a lot of depth otherwise. Failing that, you can always ask me. I've been told many times that I'm full if it. And I'm sure that they mean Porsche trivia.
