Lightening it further by removing the rear wing seems a bit unusual.

This is how one usually looks http://www.madwhips.com/lurid-green-997-gt3rs/

Something's not quite right here. My guess is it's an accident repair, which I suppose is feasible seeing as it's outside a Porsche mechanics! For a start, why would you change out Porsche's light-as-helium but expensive-as-hell stock wheels? - They look like they're barely covering the ceramic rotors. Also the ends of the side graphics are missing on both fenders, and there's no carbon splitter at the front. At first I thought the colour looked odd, but a little research has shown that Viper Green can look quite pale in bright sunshine. As for the wing, I'd guess they've had to replace the engine cover, but as the wing can be bought in two parts, they've salvaged the carbon aerofoil but haven't re-attached it yet. And.... breathe! I should probably get out more.....

This isn't the widebody !

I was trying to work that out too, Vinay! I actually think it is the widebody, I'm just having some difficulty proving it with photos! This 'regular' GT3 (http://www.madwhips.com/white-porsche-911-997-gt3-in-richmond/) seems much flatter along the flank, with less pronounced hips. Then again, this RS seems narrower than the other Viper Green RS in the gallery quoted above! Maybe the fact the other RS has apparently been lowered affects the perspective, making it look wider. I'll try not to lose any (more) sleep over this :)

I think it's a standard GT3.

Hehe, I'm not so sure, but if it is indeeda normal GT3 then that's an expensive replica! Must've cost more to do than a standard RS runs to! Just noticed the extra half-cage in the front, which is unusual.

Cheers for the heads-up mgray! Unfortunately I don't have a spare $275,000, or live in Australia! Does a full cage make a car illegal in WA then? Over here (UK), insurance companies used to actually give you a discount for having a 'safety cage', until they realised that those who cage-up their car were probably not old grannies with Nissan Micras, but people who think they one day might end up on their roof. :)
