I visited a mate's garage today to see part of his car collection. He's a sad case, he suffers from a seemingly incurable affliction of buying Porsches. These shots show some of them. TWO 993 RSs (road & race, as you do), GT3, 944T, 944S2, 968CS, as well as in other garages a yellow '75 Carrera coupe, a pristine '73 911S coupe in Gemini Blue metallic & a 987S Boxster. The white 911 shell under the hoist is the only RHD 964 RSR ever built, it's being restored after a racing career. That's 10 Porsches in total. Daily driver is a recent 325i. He's run in 5 Targa Tasmanias, see trophies in the cabinet. Upstairs in the mezzanine is the bar, lounges, beds, TVs, car models, trophies etc etc. The perfect setup. Put in a pizza oven and you'd never need to leave the building. The Shadow and the 930 belong to other guys, he's just storing them. I was very taken by the 930, love the colour. And those ruf wheels make me go all squirty inside. The garages also have engines, 'boxes, seats, wheels, tyres, spoilers, wings etc stored. You know how it is. Chris reckons that he could build another car out off the stuff that's there. But it would be a peculiar 911/996/944/968 hybrid. Could be interesting though.
