At the risk of appearing to be a name dropper, I had a 50 minute drive of a 4S at the US launch at Monterey in August, and I thought it was great. At least from the driver's seat you can't see the styling. But I remember when the 928 was released I wondered just what the hell Porsche was up to. It grew on me, & now I think that the 928GTS is one of the great touring cars of all time. Time will tell.

Nice! That would have been great to drive it in Monterey. I sat in a Turbo version at the 356 show the other month, the interior was pure class. I used to have a 928S, red with 5spd manual, rare! The 928 won car of the year in Europe when it was released, the 928GTS is the ultimate.

Yeah, it's hard to better the Quattroporte as a styling exercise. It will be interesting to see the Aston Martin Rapide when it appears.
