Hey, Oliver, you have another recent album titled The definitive Muscle Car, what about re-titling this The definitive Porsche. This is my all time fav Porsche. Have to say, though, that I never remember that front bumper with grilling - is that an RSR job? Also, weren't the original wheels polished instead of painted?

And it's Yellow. Did this guy know the day he bought it that it was destined to be a legend?

Yo mgray! The Definitive Porsche? There are so many to choose from. It would be easier to mention the ones I don't like. 924. Cayenne. That's about it. I even owned a 914 for a while. Great little car. However, if I was going to build a replica on a 911, I would have to go for a rep of the 1974 IROC 911 Carreras, in a lurid green or orange. Or blue. Yes, the 2.7RS originally had wheels with polished spokes. The standard size sizes are 6" & 7" X15" wheels. This one is wearing 7" & 8" wheels for racing. The RS front spoiler has a blank in the oil cooler opening, RSR has the oil cooler there.

Did any IROC 911s make it to Australia?

No. There were only 15 (I think) built and they were only raced for one year in the IROC series in the States. It took some years for them to become recognised and thier values have gone stratospheric. I'm out of circulation again, I'm back in hospital having more chemo and stem cell transplants. So no more submissions for a few weeks. But I am mac-equipped in here so I can keep in touch with the world outside these walls.

Only 15. WOW! Hey don't stress about the (album) submissions, I enjoy your commentary just as much! Regards.
