Not on the road!

I have had the absolute pleasure of driving one of these beasts on the Newcastle Freeway in 1970. I friend used his as a daily driver and used to take it on the freeway weekly for an Italian Tuneup, as he called it, which translated to putting your foot flat to the floor and listen to the engine note change as the carbon was cleaned out. I actually touched 140mph in the orange beast.

Not on the road.... but in a field! Jamiroquai front-man Jay Kay's red SV trying to escape from one of the Glastonbury music festival's mud-filled car parks! In true rock star fashion, he didn't care much about the mud (amongst other things!) that was all over it. That was before digital cameras even existed, I think, so alas, no pics to post.
