How do I Upload Photos?
You can upload photos by creating albums and adding photos to the albums.
Click on the red Upload Photos link on the top right of the screen.
If you are not logged in you will need to enter your username and password and log in to the site.
Step 1: Select Make and Model (Optional)
Select the Make and Model. If you are unsure of the Make or Model details, or the album is to contain photos of different cars, skip this step and click the Next>> button at the bottom of the screen.
Step 2: Enter Album Details
On this screen you can enter your album details.
Here you can enter the date, city, and other tag info about the album.
Enter a unique and interesting title for your album here.
Then press Next>>
Step 3: Select Photos
This screen uses a Java uploader application that lets you easily and quickly select photos from any folder on your hard drive.
Java Applet Install:
The first time you go to this screen, you will need to install the uploader application. This install only needs to be done once.
A dialog will pop-up with the message:
"This applet was signed by "Aurigma Inc.," but Java cannot verify the authencity of the signature's certificate. Do you trust this certificate?"
Click the "Trust" button.
The applet will then install. This may take 1-2 minutes.
Note: For some users, after you wait 2 minutes, you may notice the screen is doing nothing. At this time press 'Refresh' on the browser.
You will know if the applet has installed successfully, as you will see a left and right panel displayed on the screen.
Note: Internet Explorer users cannot currently upload directly. After you create an album, attach your photos to an email to upload@madwhips.com and they will be added to your album promptly.
The left panel lets you browse to any folder on your hard drive.
Highlighting a folder on the left panel will display thumbnails of images in that folder on the right panel.
If the folder highlighted does not contain any images, the right panel will be blank.
Once you select the folder containing your car photos, you will be able to check the images that you want to add to the album.
If you intend to upload all the photos in the current directory, you can use the 'Select All' button to select every image showing in the panel. Then click on one thumbnail, and all the images will get checked.
After you have clicked the images you would like to add, press the grey ' Upload Photos!' button on the top right of the thumbnail panel.
A dialog with a progress bar will then display until all images have been uploaded.
Step 4: Select Album Cover
This is the final screen in the upload process. Here you can select which image you want as your album cover.
Click 'Save and Go to Album'.
After this step you will be taken to the album that you just created.

How do I change the Title of an Album?
You can edit album details of any albums in your profile, by clicking on one of the tabs to the right of the album title, from the album page.

NOTE: Due to security issues with the Internet Explorer browser, you cannot upload photos directly using Internet Explorer.
I.E. users can still create albums and add as many photos as you like. Just create the album, and then email the photos to upload@madwhips.com
