yes , but the times are separate for production cars and race cars this i think is in production

and BTW i was looking at some pics , and this one is the one that beat the time , so its even better

The 599XX is quickest around the ring. But it does run slicks.

In 1983 Stefan Bellof did a 6:11:13 in a Porsche 956 in practice for the 1000k Sports Car race. Not suprisingly, that gave him pole position. Yes, it was a full race car, but it was also 27 years ago. A superhuman effort. Unfortunately, he binned the car during the race.

I don't think there is video of the whole lap but there is this: ...His race engineer looks a little unwell when he finds out the time!! Here's another video of (absolute legend) Derek Bell driving a 956 around the 'Ring with a camera on board (from the VHS video ‘In Car 956’). Great, relaxed commentary and scary, scary speeds.... just remember that Bellof's qualifying lap was a full 30 seconds faster than this one(!):
