This is the first Gensis Coupe I have seen while moving to S. Korea.  99% of the cars here are Hyundai, Daewoo, Kia or Samsung Motors.  This car is made in Ulsan the city where I live, the factory produces 5000+ cars per day!! It is the biggest automotive factory in the world. The only foreign cars I have seen so far are Benz, BMW, Volvo, Jaguar and Range Rover.....and they total to about 20.

NICE. Very interesting to read your automotive observations about life in S. Korea.  What do Samsung cars look like?  Similar to their cell phones and DVD players?

I think Renult owns a chunk of Samsung Motors and Nissan. The Japaense Maxima is called the Teana (or at least it was). So Samsung makes cars in Korea called the SM5 which look identical to North American Maximas/Japanese Teanas. What a relationship. And their cars are like the electronics...Iwas in a car yesterday that was reciving TV broadcasts on its NAV disaply....hi-tech - for North American standards.

I feel the genesis coupe is over designed. There are a lot of unnecessary cuts/bulges that makes it look awkward. I HATE how the window design has a bulge at the bottom. The rear lights look too cheap with all the red and white that weren't placed properly.
