Event: Laguna Seca
This GT40 is the first car to win Le Mans twice, in 1968 & 1969. Driven in 1968 by Pedro Rodríguez & Lucien Bianchi, and in 1969 by Jacky Ickx (his first Le Mans drive) & Jackie Oliver, the car has a wonderful patina, as evidenced by the cracks in the paintwork which thankfully survive. To repaint this this car would be to desecrate it. This is the most famous and by far the most valuable GT40.

wow, Henry Ford really did want to preserve it, even today it looks brand new. If you want to see a proper racer this is the car to see. This must be one of the best carspotts I've ever seen. I would have been exploded if I saw the original GT40!
