3 Bolwell Nagaris

Seeing these shots http://www.madwhips.com/bolwell-nagari-coupe/ reminded me that I had some shots of Nagaris too. The black convertible is one of either 11 or 13 built. I know a guy with 2 Nagaris and even he doesn't know. I think the convertible and the coupe are styling triumphs for a small, independent manufacturer. Beautiful cars. I've also included a couple of their earlier, less successful efforts which were at the Phillip Island Historics in 2007. Except for the wheels on the convertible, the cars in these shots are stock.

Bolwell Nagari Coupe

Spotted this rare Bolwell Nagari Coupe today. Turns out that only 127 were built in OZ between 1969 to 1972. The Nagari consisted of a Ford V8 (a 302 or 351 cubic inch) draped in a fibreglass body. According to Sport Car World November 1971: "The feel of the car is a lot like a Lotus... precise and controllable, with an addition of power, solidarity and bulk".
