This is one of the few supercars in the world that I haven't seen in person. damn them for being so rare. Can you believe it's been 14 years since this was made and it's still one of the fastest carsr in the world?

I haven't seen it in person either, the fact that it is 14 years old and still looks SOOO BAD ASS IS what also gives me shivers!! Absolutely amazing design!

This car has an interesting history. It was bought new by an Australian supercar collector. While being serviced at BMW Sydney, a mechanic took it for a 'test drive.' Many miles from the workshop, there was a HUGE crash. There were bits of McLaren strewn over a large area. The car sustained over a million dollars damage, and went back to Woking for repairs. While there it was repainted in this titanium colour from its original silver. The accident was such a big deal it was the front page story on the Sydney Morning Herald the next day.

Cool. Very interesting. I wonder if the mechanic kept his job or not!
