A mate of mine here in Sydney has one of these. And a Makinnen evo. And 25 other cars. NSX, 2 MR2s, M3s, (including an E36 M3R), M5s, NA MX5, Lotus Elan, Benzes, Jags, 2 911s, 928, Maser 228. I can't remember all of them. Anyhoo, he says that the quattro is highly overrated and that the evo sh*ts all over it in every way. He says that the quattro understeers like nobody's business and is quite unpleasant to drive. Of the 150 cars that he's owned, he says that only 3 are really good : NSX, evo, MX5. And he's had 308s, 328s, 365, E-Type, M Roadster, Uracco, Sierra Cosworth, tons of Brock Commodores & GT Falcons, XU-1, he even has a Brock Magnum. And a gold star to anyone who knows what that is without resorting to Google. Many more too, far too many for this old brain to remember. So despite its reputation, the quattro may not be all it's cracked up to be.

V. interesting about the Quattro Mark. There's a company in England that still converts these into SWB rally nutters. I've always admired them but do fail to get that excited about anything 4wd. I've always thought two driven wheels is enough, I guess. Well, on tarmac, at least. And he has an E36 M3R??!! Always wanted one, but never realised they only made 11 available for sale - apparently you had to have some sort of racing license to buy one. That's rarer than a Zonda F Clubsport! Anyways... this guy sounds like a non-famous Jay Leno! ............. And a quick word of warning to anyone trying to find out what a Brock Magnum is...... put Safe Search on your Google if you don't fancy being presented with some seriously NSFW images of apparently well-known gay porn star Brock Magnum! Bit of a shocker for my colleagues......Who also just happen to be most of my close family!!!! ;)
