Ascari Ecosse at the 2008 Essen Motor Show in Germany.  The production version of the Ecosse had a BMW V8 and was further tuned by Hartge. The 4.4 L engine produced 300+ hp and the 4.7 L engines produced 400+ hp which gave 0-60 in 4.1 seconds and had top speed of 200mph (322km/h). The Ecosse's spaceframe chassis with wishbone suspension had a lightweight fibre glass body for a total weight of 2756 lb (1250 kg).

Yup it sure did stand out among the other exotics in that dream car boulevard display! I would love to hear its V8 screaming on a track!

What a potent looking thing. I was about to accuse Noble of straight up copying this design for the M12, then I looked it up and found that the designer was in fact one Mr. L. Noble.

I have a J. Plonker Clarkson DVD (it was a gift, I'd never buy one) and he drives one of these at a private circuit in Spain. For a change, he liked a car. Quite a novel experience to see that. On the same disc, at the same circuit, he puts a Porsche GT3 into the wall. Prat. Hmmm, it would seem that I've been reading too many of JamesAsh's comments. For a 7th generation Aussie, I'm sounding a lot like a Pom.
