It was on a huge 1928 Daimler which been first delivered to a customer in Sydney. This plate has a somewhat mythical status here so I got a kick out of seeing it. The owner of the Daimler was keen to talk about the car's history when I told him I was from Sydney. The number 6 plate I saw on the AMG C63 in a car park today. It would be worth a lot more then the car itself. To me, this car makes as much sense as a chocolate teapot or a glass bass drum. Huge engine means huge performance means traction control, ABS and numerous other interfering acronyms. I'd have much more fun in an MX-5, MR2, Elise, Ariel Atom, Caterham...even an early 911. They all combine adequate horsepower with light weight and agility. The C63 is burdened with too much of everything which only serves to dull the driving experience....
