Anyway, the Giocattolo was another example of the Aussie way of building cars : "too much engine and not enough car." See also Elfin & Bolwell on madwhips. Giocattolos were built in Queensland (an Australian state) in the mid eighties. The Giocattolo had the 5 litre V8 from Holden (General Motors) stuffed in behind the front seats. A mid-engined V8 supercar. This gave the car slightly less performance than the contemporary 911 Turbo. The guard flares were kevlar, and kevlar was used liberally... There were numerous other Italian brands represented, such as these three Alfa Romeos. Very pretty cars. The carbon fibre bosy is produced by ATR Group and fitted to a steel chassis made by Italian company ITCA Produzione. The final assembly takes place at the Maserati factory in Modena, Italy.  This car sells for $300,000 US Dollars.
