A very generous, if somewhat misguided mate of mine let me have a thrash in his Boxster S today. I'd only driven one Boxster before, a 2.5 litre some years ago. Great little car, but the usual caveat applied : not enough power. The 3.2 litre S certainly can't be accused of that. What a great car, I can see why Porsche has sold so many of them. Terrific sound from the engine, great 'box, steering, brakes, seating position, plenty of grunt. Everything is just right. And driving through the countryside with the roof down in a black Boxster S on a sunny Sydney day...things don't get much better.
