This is a car you're not going come up against at the traffic light drags. It's one of 16 built, and most of that 16 were race cars. In fact, Wikipedia says that only one was converted for road use. However the info on www.maserati.org.au contradicts this. Whatever, it's an extremely rare car. It runs a 2 litre, twin turbo V6 giving a handy 350BHP. Weighing in at only 905 kilos (2000 pounds) it must really have some get up & go. Being LHD and not yet 30 years old it's unable to be registered here, hence the dealer plate. A fascinating car, and I don't think it looks 19 years old. It was on display at the Italian Fiesta held at Sydney Olympic Park. More iPhone shots.
