I took these this afternoon under the Sydney Harbour Bridge. I only had the iPhone with me. The ROW (Rest Of World, which means other than the US market) 1975 Carrera used the same running gear as the revered 1973 2.7 litre Carrera RS. The US market models didn't use the 'thirsty, dirty' but powerful mechanical injection giving 210 bhp, but the K-Jetronic injection giving better economy, cleaner running, but only 175 bhp. An advantage of these earlier 911s is that they're very light. Before the days of electric windows, side intrusion bars, 28 speaker stereo systems, airbags, electric seats and so on, cars didn't weigh much. I had a 1973 911E coupe for 11 years, and with spare tyre, tools & half a tank of fuel it weighed only 1075 kilos. This targa would only weigh a little more, so it goes like stink. Also, 911s of this era had no power steering, no power brakes, no electronic interference in the driving process at all. As it should be.
